Company creation: the most common questions
Which legal form should I choose: SARL, SARL-S or sole trader?
It depends on your capital, your partners and the risks of your business. An SARL needs minimum share capital of €12,000 and a notarial deed; an SARL-S can be set up with €1 to €12,000 of capital by private deed, without a notary, but only by individuals. We help you choose in our first conversation.
Do I need a business permit?
Almost all commercial and craft businesses, and some liberal professions, need one. It is usually the first step and the one that most affects the timeline, so we deal with it right at the start.
How much does it cost to set up a company in Luxembourg?
It depends on the legal form and your business (notary, registrations, company address, capital). Before we start, you receive a proposal with all costs and timings, with no surprises.
Can my new company get financial aid?
Yes, there is support for companies in Luxembourg. For example, SME Packages Digital covers 70% of digital projects between €3,000 and €25,000 excl. VAT. We check which support you can access.
